Laura Pephens has been committed to the financial services industry since 1979.

From 1982-1995 Laura worked with the firms of Touche Ross, Grant Thornton and Coopers & Lybrand in the offices of Houston, Sydney (Australia), New York, San Diego, Los Angeles and Newport Beach.

By 1995, Laura had worked with all the largest mortgage lenders in the Country on specialized consultations including mergers & acquisitions, valuations, business process reengineering and over $1 Billion in debt and equity offerings with the SEC.

In 1995, Laura formed Pephens & Co. where she continues today to focus the majority of her efforts in assisting financial institutions, credit unions, mortgage lenders and vendors to the financial services marketplace.

During June 2001, Laura and six other principles formed Strategy + Capital Partners, LLC which focuses exclusively on providing strategy consulting coupled with unparalleled capital raising skill for private businesses and smaller public companies. Laura is the Principal focusing upon the financial services industry.

Ms. Pephens is a CPA in California and Texas and has a B.S. Accounting - San Diego State University. Currently, on the Board of Directors for the California Mortgage Bankers Association; the Harbour Area Halfway Houses, Inc.; Christ Lutheran Church; and several midsized mortgage lenders.

Ms. Pephens is currently a member of: The California Mortgage Bankers Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, California Society of CPA's, the Texas Society of CPA's, San Diego State Alumni Association, and the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation.
